Hello Bridgewell Parents & Guardians. I am Christopher Tuttle, President & CEO, and today is Thursday, May 14.
As of this morning, we have 8 staff and 30 people in our services who are currently positive with COVID-19. We also have several staff who have passed their quarantine period but have not yet returned to work. At this time, approximately 82% of our residential programs have now been tested through mobile testing. The remaining 11 programs will be tested within the next few days or scheduled to be tested. This is an amazing accomplishment in such a short time and it is a testament to the hard working staff’s commitment and dedication. This new is great but, we are not out of the woods yet and will continue to be ever vigilant in our efforts.
One of the things that Bridgewell does very well is respond to crisis. The staff has risen to the challenges they have faced over the last 8 weeks and have given 150%; they have kept moving forward and problem solving. They have not panicked but instead channeled their energy into finding new and creative ways to keep the people we served safe, engaged and fulfilled. The examples of kindness, caring and thoughtfulness that I have seen and heard across the organization is both gratifying and humbling. Please know your loved one is being well cared for.
The next recording will be posted on Monday, May 18 by noon. As always, please be well and be safe.
