Bridgewell offers a full complement
of social and recreational activities for individuals with
disabilities who reside in their own homes or in a Bridgewell
residence. Our programs provide regular opportunities that
encourage personal expression, exercise, mastery of skills,
building meaningful relationships and a chance to have some
fun.
The Saturday
Recreation Program is a 16-week program
held at Lynn Classical High School. The program is appropriate
for all ages and ability levels. Activities include:
- Cooking
- Arts and crafts
- Basketball
- Music
- Board Games
- Exercise and walking groups
Monthly activities include:
- Night of dinner and dance
- Cosmic bowling
- Hawaiian luaus
- North Shore Music Theater
- Ice-cream socials
- Evening of karaoke
- Fun at the beach
- Swim for leisure

Special Olympics
The Special Olympics is an international organization dedicated
to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities
to become physically fit, productive and respected members
of society through sports training and competition.
Bridgewell participates in both the summer and
winter games. Participants have won gold, silver and bronze
medals in track and field, bowling, cross-country skiing,
basketball, bocce ball and other activities.
Scouts
Scouting provides an educational program that builds character
and trains participants in citizenship, service and leadership.
Through the help of dedicated volunteers, Bridgewell's troop
serves more than 30 men and women.
