President & CEO Bob Stearns announced the 2015 Rodger Hebert Quality of Care Award recipient: Justine Rudgis.  This year, Bridgewell received the greatest number of nominations yet – 36 nominations were submitted for 24 Bridgewell employees. As in past years, all of the nominations were exceptional.

Justine, a residential supervisor, oversees five programs in the Lowell area caring for adults with developmental disabilities experiencing Alzheimer’s disease. She works closely with peer organizations, often acting as a consultant, and created Bridgewell’s guidelines and trainings on serving this population.

Her nominator wrote, “Justine operates with the philosophy one size does not fit all. She meets every individual where they are in life without judgment and helps them to learn and grow as a person, as well as meeting their needs that are tailored to them.”

Board Chair Jeff Roy also announced the Tatyana Buynitsky Scholarship. Tatyana was a Behavior Analyst at our Rosewood Program, supporting young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder who passed away unexpectedly in December of 2014. Her enthusiasm, caring and dedication left a special imprint on the hearts of individuals and staff alike. In recognition of her achievements, goals and dedication to people with life challenges Bridgewell has established a $5,000 scholarship in her honor to be awarded to an employee in a graduate program.
