Paul Oben, Licensed Practical Nurse

Originally from Nigeria, Paul has been employed by Bridgewell for more than seven years. He started as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and until recently worked as a DSP at Federal Street in Salem.

While continuing to work at Bridgewell, Paul was able to attend nursing school part-time and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In 2010, he received the Gerry Wright Direct Service Employee Award from the Providers’ Council at their 35th Annual Convention & Expo.

Paul has combined his Direct Support Professional work experience with his Licensed Practical Nurse degree, and recently transferred to Coolidge Road in Danvers as a full-time LPN. He loves being a member of his team and truly cares about the people served by Bridgewell. He enjoys working to help everyone in his care achieve possibilities.

Bridgewell has offered him many opportunities including camaraderie, training and education, and tuition reimbursement.  He has recommended friends and family to join the Bridgewell community as well.

When he is not working, he enjoys listening to music, reading, and watching and playing sports. His most prized possession is his family.
