Thank you for your interest in Bridgewell. For 55 years, we have met the changing needs of individuals living with disabilities and other challenges with compassion and capability. I warmly invite you to learn more about our work, which is the combined effort of our staff, board, community and government partners, donors, volunteers, and most importantly, the individuals and families we serve.
Many things set Bridgewell apart. Our top-notch staff is diverse, highly trained, and fiercely dedicated. We maintain a sharp, constant focus on innovation and emerging needs. For example, we recently launched one of the first day programs in northeast Massachusetts targeted to the growing number of young adults with autism who are aging out of the public education system. We adhere to the highest service standards, as evidenced by the top level of accreditation from CARF International.
And at the heart of it all, we uphold an unwavering commitment to our mission of helping individuals with disabilities and other challenges enjoy their highest quality of life while achieving their own goals. Please take a moment to read about some of the remarkable individuals we serve throughout our website.
Read about Bernadette, a young woman who came to Bridgewell’s day program for adults with developmental disabilities weighing almost 400 pounds and primarily confined to a wheelchair. Guided by our caring staff, Bernadette started exercising and eating healthy, lost 200 pounds, traded in her wheelchair, and opened up to a life with unlimited possibilities.
And Suliaman, who entered our Pathfinder housing program in Lowell homeless, unemployed, and with little direction. With Bridgewell’s support, Suliaman is now working toward his goal of culinary school and a restaurant career by helming the kitchen at our homeless drop-in center.
Ultimately, our purpose is to connect people with possibilities. If you share this vision, if you can feel our enthusiasm and optimism, please join our efforts. Sign-up for our e-communications.
