Accreditations and Licensure

Bridgewell is dedicated to providing the highest quality services to the people we support. We participate in a variety of external licensure and accreditation programs that validate our good work.

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)

In 2017, Bridgewell has once again earned a three-year accreditation from CARF International, the highest level of certification that an organization can achieve. While Bridgewell’s day habilitation services have been accredited by CARF for well over 25 years, this is the third consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that CARF has given to all Bridgewell services and programs for substantial conformance to its high standards.

The rigorous CARF assessment complimented Bridgewell for their “enthusiasm, commitment and pride in their work and a genuine caring” for their clients, as they strive to “clearly understand each individual’s strengths and needs.” Bridgewell’s services are considered “innovative and creative,” and CARF believes Bridgewell has particularly distinguished itself as “a leader in the industry that has excelled in providing exceptional autism services.”

Significantly, CARF found that individuals who use Bridgewell’s services place high confidence in the organization, stating that “families feel involved and informed, and they appreciate the open communication and responsiveness they receive.” Families reported that their loved ones are “very happy with their lifestyles and opportunities” and that the facilities are “well maintained, inviting and respectful” places.

An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of international surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.

Massachusetts State Licensure

Bridgewell’s services are also licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, Department of Mental Health and Department of Public Health.
